On Election Day, Paula McPheeters made history in Pueblo County by securing 49.75% of the vote. Her victory was particularly significant as she unseated long-time Democrat Daneya Esgar, becoming the first Republican woman to serve as Pueblo County Commissioner.

Our team accomplished this with 1/3 of the budget her opponent had by focusing on a combination of digital and traditional media platforms and compelling content that voters related to. The team also maximized political signage coverage placing signs in high traffic areas. While Esgar's campaign focused on traditional Democratic talking points like abortion rights and other matters county commissioners are not involved in, Commissioner McPheeters presented a pragmatic vision for the county. She highlighted critical concerns such as public safety, economic opportunities, and infrastructure needs. This reality-based approach resonated deeply with Puebloans, who voted for tangible solutions to the issues that matter most to them.
